Port management and strategic masterplanning

The high-level seminar on Port Management and Masterplanning covers all essential aspects of modern management in the port, from a clear strategy and port governance model towards a successful implementation.
The efficient management and organisation of a port authority involves strategic activities of, for instance: managing your financials, developing your masterplan, formulating your port development strategy and managing the strategic projects in your port.
“Port masterplanning” is an essential part of port design and development. A port masterplan explains the reason of existence of a port to all stakeholders involved.
We will discuss the factors to be included in port masterplanning, the importance of stakeholder management and the sustainable development of ports, illustrated by several port masterplans.
Included in the programme are site visits in the port of Antwerp, the port of Zeebrugge and North Sea Port (Ghent).

This programme is targeted towards experienced port professionals who are facing challenges related to making the right decisions in short-, medium- and long-term developments and investments in a port, as well as the sustainable development of the port in relation to the economic development and the creation of welfare in their region.
For: executive directors and managers that are active in overall port management, port (development) strategy, regional development strategy (with ports as a driver for regional development), planning & development (commercial and infrastructure) and port relations (port-government-communities).
Course fee: €4.000
The registration fee covers the tuition fee, documentation, local transport during the seminar, breakfast and lunch (half board), accommodation at the 4 star hotel (14d/13n) and insurance.
International transport, airport transfer, visa costs, extra meals and nights at the hotel are at your own expense. Extra nights at the hotel need to be arranged directly with the reservation desk of the hotel.
Please note that the registration fee must be received by APEC in full; meaning all national and international taxes, bank costs etc. need te be covered by the participant.
Kindly take this into account when completing the transfer, as a deficit in the amout received by APEC will mean admission to the seminar will be denied.
